Tying of Heart Strings!
Here’s a fun friendship and tea time idea. Invite 2 or more friends you would like to catch up with and refresh your heart’s tie, to join you in a “progressive” tea time. Have them meet at your house, and start with a delicious treat and pot of tea. Share your hearts with them, speaking to each of the joy you have received from their friendship, and the ways they have blessed you. Then share any fun new decorating ideas or new craft projects, ……..anything that inspires you, thus allowing your friends to share in your dreams. Allow 1/2 hour before you progress to the next lady’s home. The next lady can again, serve a new flavor of tea, perhaps some tea sandwiches, and her heart and home as well. There are few things as enjoyable as sharing dreams and true sentiments with cherished friends, as well as resting for a bit in the lovely homes of another. Making time for such beautiful moments inspires us to add that special sparkle to our homes and our friendships and are memories to cherish for a life-time.
THE KEY is to not fuss overly much about having a perfect home, but instead, use your time wisely to create an atmosphere of relaxation and welcome!! True friends can appreciate your smallest hearts desires to serve them and share your innermost thoughts with them. I believe making time for such treasured moments shows great value to our friends. Lets invite others into our hearts—-in spite of the imperfections in our homes, and lives. The closeness in our relationships will reflect that we have chosen the best part!! Have fun!! And remember…..it only takes a tiny corner of prettiness and the simplest spread to make a truly memorable tea time with a dear friend. Love you!!
Proverbs 2:10,11,&20
“Build on resolve, and not upon regret,
“Many favors which God giveth us ravel out for want of hemming, through our own unthankfulness; for though prayer purchaseth blessings, giving praise doth keep the quiet possession of them.” Thomas Fuller.
“When one knows that certain food is dangerous to health, he does not eat it; and when a certain fashion of thinking robs us of CONFIDENCE, CHEERFULNESS, and STRENGTH, we should reject that, certain not only that it is a nutriment noxious to the mind, but also that it is false.” —The Simple Life
“Our Heavenly Father, we stand upon the utmost verge of the new year. Forgetting the things that are behind, we stand with our faces looking earnestlyinto the future. We do not despise the past, we do not forget it’s manifold blessings. We do not forget that Thou hast been with us in the old year; for all this we would be grateful. With clear vision and earnestness of purpose, we would stand looking into the future expectantly, ready for it’s duties and it’s responsibilities; yet not ostentatiously nor with over-confidence, for we know our infirmities, our own weaknesses. We would enter upon the New Year with confidence, not because of our own strength, but because of Thy Living presence. Thou art always with us, Thou art pouring out Thy spirit upon us. Oh Lord, let us believe in Thee, and believing, let us have a heart for any fate. Amen.” George L. Perin
