Tying of Heart Strings!

Here’s a fun friendship and tea time idea. Invite 2 or more friends you would like to catch up with and refresh your heart’s tie, to join you in a “progressive” tea time. Have them meet at your house, and start with a delicious treat and pot of tea. Share your hearts with them, speaking to each of the joy you have received from their friendship, and the ways they have blessed you. Then share any fun new decorating ideas or new craft projects, ……..anything that inspires you, thus allowing your friends to share in your dreams. Allow 1/2 hour before you progress to the next lady’s home. The next lady can again, serve a new flavor of tea, perhaps some tea sandwiches, and her heart and home as well. There are few things as enjoyable as sharing dreams and true sentiments with cherished friends, as well as resting for a bit in the lovely homes of another. Making time for such beautiful moments inspires us to add that special sparkle to our homes and our friendships and are memories to cherish for a life-time.

THE KEY is to not fuss overly much about having a perfect home, but instead, use your time wisely to create an atmosphere of relaxation and welcome!! True friends can appreciate your smallest hearts desires to serve them and share your innermost thoughts with them. I believe making time for such treasured moments shows great value to our friends. Lets invite others into our hearts—-in spite of the imperfections in our homes, and lives. The closeness in our relationships will reflect that we have chosen the best part!! Have fun!! And remember…..it only takes a tiny corner of prettiness and the simplest spread to make a truly memorable tea time with a dear friend. Love you!!

The Way Of Goodness!!

Proverbs 2:10,11,&20
“When wisdom enters your heart,
And knowledge is pleasant to your soul
Discretion will preserve you
Understanding will keep you.
So you may walk in the way of Goodness
And keep to the paths of righteousness!!!”

The Path of Hope

“Build on resolve, and not upon regret,
The structure of Thy future. Do not grope
Among the shadows of old sins, but let
Thine own soul’s light shine on the PATH OF HOPE
And dissipate the darkness. Waste no tears
Upon the blotted record of lost years,
But turn the leaf, and smile, oh, smile, to see
The fair white pages that remain to thee.”
–Ella Wheeler Wilcox

God’s Favors

“Many favors which God giveth us ravel out for want of hemming, through our own unthankfulness; for though prayer purchaseth blessings, giving praise doth keep the quiet possession of them.”  Thomas Fuller.

SEEDS OF BEAUTY & STRENGTH

“When one knows that certain food is dangerous to health, he does not eat it; and when a certain fashion of thinking robs us of CONFIDENCE, CHEERFULNESS, and STRENGTH, we should reject that, certain not only that it is a nutriment noxious to the mind, but also that it is false.”  —The Simple Life

TODAY’S SEEDS CREATE TOMORROW’S FRUIT!!!!

“It is not that the acts or work exhaust; it is the mental condition they are continually in, that makes so many old and haggard at fourty.”     Prentice Mulford.

Right thinking is the foundation of right living.  To live the highest life of which we, as human beings, are capable, we must firmly believe and live up to our belief, that we can, should, and must resolutely master our thoughts as well as our actions, and that we must control the mental pictures in which we indulge, as much as the words which issue from our lips.

“AS A MAN THINKETH IN HIS HEART, SO IS HE!”

Thoughts generate feeling. When discouraged and depressed lift up your chest, take an attitude of courage and speak these words several times, slowly and earnestly- “faith, hope, courage!”  When sensitive over ill-treatment, take the correct physical attitude, and say, several times, slowly and earnestly- “love, patience, forgiveness!” and see if you don’t feel better!

Sow seeds purposefully that the beautiful fruit of strength, confidence, and cheerfulness may beautify our countenances.   I love you friends!

Love, Chellee

Good Seeds for the New Year

TODAY’S SEEDS PRODUCE TOMORROW’S BLESSINGS!!

“Be not afraid, dear friend.  What of sickness!  What of sorrow! What of failure! What of misfortune!  What of death!  Is not this God’s world? Are not you God’s child/ Go forth into the New Year with brave heart.  When fortune smiles, smile with her.  When fortune frowns, smile the more, and trust in God.”  George L. Perin.

“Our Heavenly Father, we stand upon the utmost verge of the new year.  Forgetting the things that are behind, we stand with our faces looking earnestlyinto the future.  We do not despise the past, we do not forget it’s manifold blessings.  We do not forget that Thou hast been with us in the old year; for all this we would be grateful.  With clear vision and earnestness of purpose, we would stand looking into the future expectantly, ready for it’s duties and it’s responsibilities; yet not ostentatiously nor with over-confidence, for we know our infirmities, our own weaknesses.  We would enter upon the New Year with confidence, not because of our own strength, but because of Thy Living presence.  Thou art always with us, Thou art pouring out Thy spirit upon us.  Oh Lord, let us believe in Thee, and believing, let us have a heart for any fate.  Amen.”      George L. Perin

Dear friends…..May your heart seek and find all the Goodness the Lord has blessed you with this past year and all He has waiting for you in this new year, and may gratefulness be the light unto your path that you may find all you are seeking.   A thankful spirit opens the windows of our understanding to see God and His manifold Graciousness and turns darkness into light!!  Blessings from the bottom of my heart my friends!

With all my love, Chellee

Divine Autograph of the Rose

“If I give you a Rose, you will not doubt of God.” Clement of Alexander. 150-220 A.D.

“Every Rose is an autograph from the hand of God on His world about us. He has inscribed His thoughts in these marelous hieroglyphics which sense and science have, these many thousand years, been seeking to understand.” Theodore Parker. 1810-1860

Time

“Lost: yesterday, somewhere between sunrise and sunset, two golden hours, each set with sixty diamond minutes. No reward is offered, for they are gone forever.” –Horace Mann. 1890

With the new year upon us, we tend to turn our minds towards New Years Resolutions and how we are going to use the time we have during the coming year to become something greater. We have been given the precious gift of time. There are many others who have seen their time end much sooner than they expected, and when we think of them, we pause for just a moment and wonder if they wish they had their time back to redeem the lost moments so that they could do the important things they left undone. Christmas Fun Idea

Use last year’s Christmas cards to make next year’s gift tags. Simply cut out small squares, rectangles, circles and other various shapes using a focal point from the card, and layer on colored card stock, using a hole punch to make a place for a coordinating ribbon. It’s a fun way to avoid throwing away beautiful cards, and makes it easy to match your gifts.

Gather a friend or few, and make the gift tags together.  Make it a simple sharing time by each bringing one lunch item and then put on the teapot and some festive music.  You can even make it a friendship time for you and your children by throwing a tag making party for your kids and their friends.
